There are two homes that share the same driveway. Each home does have its own privacy. This home is located in a mountain rural area however All roads leading to the house and the driveway are paved and well maintained. Enjoy our cozy wood fireplace. Our fireplace is available to use October-April and Closed May-September!

Great place for a weekend in the mountains. Large back deck with amazing views. All you could ever need inside. Location ideal for exploring the area, as it’s right near the Blue Ridge. Highly recommend!

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting! The pictures are gorgeous but to experience the views in person is even better. Such a serene place! Rebecca was a great host! She was very informative and kind! The home itself was easy to get to and even my Honda was able to make it up and down the driveway. Rebecca recommended many places and we got to explore the town. Such nice people! If you just want to hunker down and stay at Mountain Escape, you will not get bored doing so by sitting on the back deck and watching and listening to nature. We are already planning to come back in the fall to see the leaves change! Highly recommend visiting!

Stayed there two nights and had a very pleasant experience. Everything was perfect and the view from the back porch was amazing and beautiful. This was the second year we stayed at Mountain Escape on our way to Emerald Isle and each time it did not disappoint; already looking forward to next year…..Bob

What a perfect stay! The views are even better than the pictures. Loved that the back porch was spacious enough for some yoga with the mountain views! The place was stocked with all the essentials that we needed and plenty of towels and blankets. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Loved the decor and greenery everywhere that made us feel right at home. The place felt light and airy with plenty of space. Friendly host with lots of local suggestions that we appreciated. We would stay again!

The Views were amazing! Rebeca was very helpful, we had to call her late in the evening as it was a little difficult spotting the entrance. Rebeca was kind, picked up the phone and helped us. I think that would be my only feedback, a clear picture of the gate from the street and a heads up that you are going down a steep driveway, as at night time, it's so dark, and it could be a little intimidating with low cell signal. Rebeca more than made up for it, and was so kind. Place was clean, internet worked well, heater was on which was helpful (Super Cold) and we are grateful. Calm, quiet, and the scenery? Wow.... Never have seen views like this! Would definitely book again. The views alone are worth the stay!
