This Cabin shares this property with "Black Bear Den" Cabin that is also listed on Airbnb. If you want to rent both please contact us. The property borders Little Reed Island Creek. Guests often swim and fish in the creek. There is a stone BBQ pit down by the creek and a swing set. There are also chairs down by the creek so you can relax to the sounds of the cascading Cherokee Maiden Falls. There are also picnic tables for your convenience around the property.
Guest Access
The resort property is open to all guests to enjoy but are asked to maintain a 40 feet distance from the other cabins you are not staying in. We have a total of two cabins on the property. They are both at the top of the hill but both offer plenty of privacy.

While the property is considered secluded, it is only 1.5 miles from I-77 in Virginia only 8 miles from North Carolina. Best of all, our resort is only 2.5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabin is only 1/2 hour from one of our nation's most famous small towns, Andy Griffith Mayberry, Mt Airy North Carolina to the south, or go west 1/2 hour to the Capital of the Ole Time Mountain Music, Galax, Virginia. Located farther west is White Top Mountain, the highest point in Virginia, and Stone Mountain State Park. To the north you can visit the historic town of Hillsville, and Foster falls State Park. A little farther north the kids will definitely enjoy the Fort Chiswell Animal Park. Numerous festivals are held nearby including Labor Day Gun Show & Flea Market, BBQ Festival, Galax Fiddlers Convention, and Mayberry Days.
